Tipsy Tuesday- Hob Nob Pinot Noir Review

Here is my first edition of Tipsy Tuesdays!  Every week I will review a new "spirited" beverage.
My first review is of one of my all time faves
Hob Nob Pinot Noir

Let me start by saying I love red wine!  It's great with a fancy dinner, appetizers with friends, or pizza with the hubbie and kids.  (The latter is typically my "wine scene" these days)  I used to drink primarily Merlots, but sometimes a vintage would be a little too acidic for my taste. A wine sommelier may differ in her interpretation of Merlot wine, but that's what I taste and I'm sticking to it!

I found Hob Nob during our yearly trip to cut down our Christmas tree.  After hours of walking through fields of pine needles and whiny kids, we stopped at a local  pizzeria to feed the beasts before our long ride home.  There DH and I enjoyed our first bottle of Hob Nob Pinot Noir.  (Do you hear the choirs of angels singing?  Believe me, it was a miracle that we all made it out of the tree farm without any injuiries.)

Hob Nob Pinot Noir is easy to drink and has a hint of fruitiness.  It blends easily with all types of food and doesn't leave you with that "cotton mouth" aftertaste that some "stuffy" wines do.  It's great for entertaining because it is a little sweeter that a typical red.

Hob Nob Pinot Noir was also reviewed Kelly of Kansas City Mamas
Check it out!

At $8 to $10 a bottle, it's a no brainer.  If you need an easy-to-serve red wine, that won't break the bank,  Hob Nob Pinot Noir is definitely worth a try.

Cheers,

"Hers-Day" Review and Giveaway!

My little peanut has be screaming since the minute she woke up.  Poor baby is teething and miserable!  I totally get it, but Mommy needs a break. Today I need to take a few minutes for myself, cuz it's gonna be a LOONG day.  So as the "princess" sleeps, I am going to take a scream-free shower. This is what I use to spoil myself a little. I love this stuff!  It has a mild and fresh scent and leaves my skin silky smooth.  It lathers up nicely and is easy to shave with.  I have used this since high school.  Sometimes the smell helps me forget for a few minutes that I am a 30-something with kids (that is until someone knocks at the door to tell on his brother!). For my second giveaway, I would like share Neutrogena Rain Bath with one of my readers. Let's pretend we are back in high school together! :) <a href="http://rafl.es/enable-js">You need javascript enabled to see this giveaway</a&amp...

Review and Giveaway- Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Let's just get this clear.  I have NO talent when it comes to anything cosmetic.  I can't apply eyeshadow, I look stupid in lipstick, and cannot paint my nails without smudging.  So you can believe how excited I was when I found Sally Hansen Salon Effects in my local drugstore. The Salon Effects are essentially stickers, although SH calls then "polish strips". They vary in color, and designs.  Some are basic and others are WILD.  I have tried Wild Child (a zebra-like print) and It Girl (solid pinkish color). For this review, I applied Bling It On to my toes.  You know I must really love you guys to post pictures of my feet!  Each box of Salon Effects comes with 16 Nail Polish Strips (in case you make a mistake), a cuticle stick, and a double sided nail file and buffer. 1. I prepped my toes by filing, shaping, and wiping them with nail polish remover . 2. I took off the clear protective cover and pulled the polish ...

Back to school

Do you remember how you felt the first day of school?    I was always excited, but really nervous.  Who is my teacher?  Is she nice?  Do I have friends in class with me? This morning I watched my older children start school.  Again I had the same feelings.  Who are their teachers? Will they be nice?  Will they take the time to understand my children.  Will my boys make new friends? I anxiously awaited their return today.  I could not wait to hear about their day.  Can you guess what response I got? "It was good." That's it!  After all that worrying and anxious energy I exerted, all I got what that school was "good" and "can I have a snack?" Gotta love kids!  Hopefully they will not grow up to be a worry wart like their mom.
