The original recipe is from Allrecipes and was submitted by KLONGMORE. The best part of this recipe is that is can be changed up a bit and still be awesome! I used chocolate sundae syrup and crushed Oreos, but you can add any flavors you'd like! Check out the recipe reviews. There are a gazillion different ideas there! The ingredients can easily be doubled for a bigger cake, too!

Ingredients: MY additions are in BLUE
16 ice cream sandwiches (I used 10) 1 (16 ounce) container frozen non-dairy whipped topping (I used 8 oz Cool Whip thawed) 1 (12 ounce) jar chocolate fudge topping, room temperature | 1 (1.5 ounce) bar chocolate candy bar, grated (I substituted a row of crushed Oreos) 1 small container of Vanilla ice cream, soften |
Directions:
1. | Line a loaf pan with wax paper. The wax paper allows you to lift the cake out of the pan. 2. Combine vanilla ice cream and cool whip. Don't eat too much of it, you will need it for the cake! 4. Repeat with 5 more sandwiches and toppings. |
5. Cover and freeze for at least 1 hour before serving. Keep unused portion covered and frozen. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the cake before we ate it. It was so good! Everyone wanted the recipe. Should we share it? Maybe we'll keep it our little secret! This cake is a hit and my new summer dessert. The ingredients didn't break the bank (everything can be purchased at Target or Walmart). I could put the cake together while my 3 kids ran all over the house. And I didn't have a huge mess to clean up! SCORE! I think I am making this again tonight! |
